Back to work for me today!
Our trip to Cuba was wonderful. A much needed rest. We enjoyed the ocean, walks on the beach and just being together in the sunshine!
We had a few calamities! We left our money on the bus from the airport to the hotel..all recovered thankfully!
We had paid for a sea view room but were put in a room overlooking the main pool! They moved us the next day.
When we were getting set to leave, the lens fell out of my glasses and I couldn’t get it back in. Then we were locked in our room! The dead bolt broke!! This was at 0530 and we had to be in the lobby for our bus to the airport at 0630.
They sent a couple of guys who came with a ladder that reached to the second floor and one of them had to climb up to the third floor where we were to break the lock so we could get out!
I also developed an allergy to the sun and had a horrible rash on my feet, upper arms and chest! Soooo itchy.
Always an adventure 🤣
Here’s another card I made for one of the residents.
The resident I had in mind for this card loves cats!
Have a blessed week readers!
I thought I’d post a little something to remind us of summer! The colours of this card remind me of the summer!
No stamping or colouring on this one!! Just paper.
Have a great week.
I had a nice weekend! I hope you did as well.
We went bathing suit shopping on Saturday. Getting excited for our winter get away! Just a couple of weeks to go before we are sitting on a sunny beach in Cuba.
We’ve never done a winter vacation before.
Here is a card I made using a stamp from Jennifer Dove designs. I love these!
I had lots of fun colouring this image up with my copics!
hope you like it:)
It’s been such a dreary January! Brightened only by the thoughts of the beach I will be sitting on in three weeks:)
Today I’m going to share a cute card that I made for one of the residents at the nursing home I work at.
As a personal challenge, I am making the birthday cards for the residents this year. There are 111, plus 1 respite beds at Fairview Manor here in Almonte. I am really enjoying this! It has given me a sense of purpose, and hopefully the card they receive for their birthday will brighten their day.
This card is made using a House Mouse stamp. As I’ve said before, I just love these little guys!
I hope you like it!
Have a beautiful day❤️
So I’ve been ignoring my blog!
But I’m back again with something that I whipped up awhile ago! Just until I can get some photos done of my new creations!
I hope you like it! It’s something sunny for such a dreary day!
The stamp set I used is “Squshy Hugs” by Emilie Goulet from crafting Jimmie stamps. It’s such a cute set.
Of course I coloured it up with my copics!
That’s it for today!
Have a fabulous day. I’ll be back with some more creations very soon! I’m going to try and not be so absent:)))))
I hope that everyone is having a beautiful Valentines!
It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Almonte, but boy it’s cold out. A good reason to settle in and snuggle with your valentine:) that’s what I’m planning on doing this evening!
I want to show you the card I made for my husband.
The digi stamp is by Rick St. Dennis and it’s called “Morning of Vidallia”!!!!!
His stamps are so much fun to colour. He has a style all his own. I encourage you to check him out! I coloured it up with my copics of course.
I’ve been busy in my craft cave so stay tuned…
I was noticing tonight that I’ve had a lot of traffic on my site!!
Thank you all!
I’m getting together with my bestie tomorrow. A crafting day! I’m really looking forward it.
I want to show you a card I made using some of my favourite little creatures. I just love these furry friends:)
Aren’t they adorable?
Have I mentioned that I’m addicted to these stamps?! House mouse by Ellen Jareckie are my absolute favourite.
I used my water colour paints for the background. It wasn’t completely the way I wanted it to go, but in the end I think it turned out alright.
I can’t say good bye without telling you that Mr. Thank you Beary much is on his way to a good home☺️
